Enchanted Forest, Volume 1 — now complete

I’m happy to announce that the first volume (episodes 1 to 5) of Enchanted Forest is now complete, available for purchase at all ebook vendors (except Smashwords… the slow reporting and slow uploading procedures currently frustrate me to no end, but I’ll get around to it soon).

Sales on this series started out (very) tepid, but are slowly picking up. Go forth, buy, and read, and give me the encouragement to start Volume 2! My mind brims with ideas for more episodes.

The first episode is free on Kobo.

I also made a profile of Kalamar, for those interested.

Available Now: High Queen, Book II of the Ulfr Crisis

High Queen, the sequel to Fell Winter and the second book of the trilogy, is now available now on Amazon, Kobo, and Nook.

Alysse Riverhall sails to her native land, vowing to return with an army of knights. While Sigmund sits on the throne, Kenna Wildsaber calls up spirits of darkness to aid her ambitions. The undead Great Witch of the Ulfr plots and waits for her chance. But only one of them can be HIGH QUEEN.

While humans battle for the throne, the Ulfr rise in the flesh, marching under the banner of the Frozen Skull. Soon they reach the home of Kai Riverhall, junior member of the Order of Scouts: a young man with a rare gift. The blood of the Green Dragon.

The next episode – Enchanted Forest #4

Even in Varda, people take time to celebrate the dark, frightening aspects of existence. In time for Halloween, here is the fourth episode of the Enchanted Forest series, “Hagflight.”

Ep. 4: Hagflight

The festival of All Hallows comes to Kalamar. Norgs don masks to honor Dibbhal, the Bogey Man. Meanwhile, Pirosha’s friend Imowyn notices the full moon, shining bright.

She promptly informs him that whenever All Hallows and a full moon coincide, a fascinating astrological event called the Hagflight can be seen in the sky from the top of Mount Doogan. But bogeys, malevolent spirits from the dark side of Faerie, stalk the shadowy path that leads to it.

“Episode 5: Invasion” and the omnibus will arrive in November.

Codex Freebie Bash Begins Tomorrow (9/26 to 9/27)

As some of you know, I am a member of Codex, a group of “neo-pro” science fiction and fantasy writers. Most of us traditionally publish but a fair number have dipped their toes (and some their whole selves) into self-publishing. We are each offering some books for free tomorrow, September 26, until September 27. The freebie bash begins at midnight tonight PST (3 a.m. Eastern Time). Your local time will vary, as Amazon is a worldwide company, but they will all be free soon.

Here is an Amazon Listmania! list with all the books on offer.

Here is a link to the promo website.

I am offering The Godless Land. Download, and enjoy!

ETA 3:53 pm:

Midmonth Updates

Note: On the Fell Winter page, I’ve added links to all the current retailers where it’s available, as well as the updated cover and blurb.

Note the Second: I am planning to distribute to all retailers from now on. I won’t discount the possibility that certain projects will be suitable for Amazon select (Amazon-exclusive) but I plan on almost everything from hereon to be as widely distributed as possible. The stories currently in Amazon select will stay in the program for now.
