UNCONQUERED SON: Coming June 2013

Unconquered SonAfter a bit of blog silence (writing under another name) I’m back with great news. My new novel, UNCONQUERED SON, will be available in June 2013.

The Empire teeters on the brink of collapse. A hedonistic teen assumes the throne under false pretenses while a slave rebellion erupts in the north. The southern King of Kings, sensing weakness, sets his eyes on his vulnerable foe.

In the midst of the growing tumult, a young man from the Empire’s hinterlands grudgingly heads to Imperial City. There, Claudio-Valens sees firsthand the weak, treasonous Imperial Council that aids foreign enemies, and finds himself at the center of the fight to save the country he loves.

What follows is a tale of desert queens and legionaries, of mad girls with great gifts and scheming highborn ladies, of gods both human and divine, that will forever transform the world they know.

I’m still making tweaks to the cover, but I wanted to give everyone a heads up!

Dragon’s Son (final book of the trilogy) released

DragonssoncoverAs newsletter subscribers already know, I recently released the final book of the Ulfr Crisis trilogy. I had a blast writing it, and am happy to lead the story to its inevitable conclusion, but at the same time, a bit sad about leaving the characters and the world. Either way, here is the description.

Buy at AmazonKobo, and Nook:

The Ulfr conquest is complete. The towns of Badelgard lie destroyed, abandoned, or suffering under the rule of Fell Lords and their dark ladies. Against all odds, Kai Riverhall—the Dragon’s Son—seeks to put an end to the Great Witch and her eternal winter.

The final book of the Ulfr Crisis trilogy narrates three distinct lives.

In MY BROTHER THE MORGUIS, a man meets his long-lost sibling but begins to question his true identity. In QUEEN OF NOTHING, the new High Queen attempts to evacuate all survivors to another land. And in DRAGON’S SON, Kai makes one last effort to defeat the Great Witch before the statue of her goddess is fully pulled from its icy tomb.

Enchanted Forest, Volume 1 — now complete

I’m happy to announce that the first volume (episodes 1 to 5) of Enchanted Forest is now complete, available for purchase at all ebook vendors (except Smashwords… the slow reporting and slow uploading procedures currently frustrate me to no end, but I’ll get around to it soon).

Sales on this series started out (very) tepid, but are slowly picking up. Go forth, buy, and read, and give me the encouragement to start Volume 2! My mind brims with ideas for more episodes.

The first episode is free on Kobo.

I also made a profile of Kalamar, for those interested.
